The Downtown Duncan Earth Day Event Planning is Underway!

Get ready for an eco-friendly extravaganza as the planning gears up for the Downtown Duncan Earth Day event on April 20th, 2024! Set against the picturesque backdrop of Charles Hoey Park, this year's festivities center around sustainable fashion choices.
Following the success of last year's Clothing Swap Tent, it's making a triumphant return, promising a fun exchange of fashion finds so be sure to dig through your closets to find three pieces of gently worn clothing to trade at the Clothing Swap Tent! No stains, no rips, and everything clean!
We invite DDBIA members to join our Eco-Fair and secure a booth space to showcase your products or share information. Alternatively, consider reserving a spot on our Sustainability Showcase Stage for a unique opportunity to spotlight your sustainable initiatives, products or services to our environmentally conscious audience. Whether you choose the Eco-Fair or Sustainability Showcase Stage, it's a chance to actively engage and contribute to our shared commitment to sustainability.
Stand by for more information; registration for the Eco-Fair and Sustainability Showcase Stage opens February 1 and closes March 15.
Mark your calendars for April 20th, a day of community, conscious living, and celebration of our planet!

Station Street Common Renovation Update
At the recent Regular Council Meeting on January 15th, Council approved the award for the production, delivery, and installation of a two-unit accessible washroom building to Nexus Modular Solutions.
This milestone allows the City of Duncan to proceed with the project tender, expected to be posted for a month, with the aim of Council awarding the bid in early March. Construction timelines will be clarified as contractors respond to bids, and the washroom installation is anticipated around mid-June, serving as one of the final elements in the park. Stay tuned for further updates!
