In This Issue:
About parking downtown – always a hot topic of conversation!

Merchants and employees in the Downtown are discouraged from parking on the street and are encouraged to find a more appropriate place to park outside the downtown core. We implore merchants and employees to use pay parking areas, or the numerous free all-day spaces within a four-block radius of downtown. Any parking on the street by merchants and employees takes away a parking space for customers. While it is understood that occasional street parking is necessary from time to time to make deliveries, this should be minimized and for short periods only, avoiding the full 2 or 3 hours whenever possible.
We encourage all our members to ensure you and your staff are parking appropriately which is more proactive than relying on the City to issue tickets. Your cooperation in adhering to good parking habits benefits everyone. With that said, if you are aware of a vehicle that is consistently a problem please feel free to advise City staff and they will do their best to encourage good parking habits.
